ARK-010: 8 DAYS NAKURU/MARA/AMBOSELI/TSAVO WEST 

A safari to see some of the best game parks in Kenya and also see Africa's highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Best wildlife and see the big 5 and the annual wildebeest migration in Maasai Mara

Day 1; AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK;
Depart Nairobi for Amboseli arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at campsite.
Day 2; AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK;
Full day in Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drive (optional visits to samburu villages). All meal and overnight at campsite.
Day 3: TSAVO WEST;
After breakfast depart for Tsavo west arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive to Visit Mzima springs. Dinner and over night at campsite.


Day 4: LAKE NAKURU
Depart Tsavo in the morning Via Nairobi for lunch and drive to the Great Rift Valley viewing sceneries enroute, arriving to the Pink Lake often referred so due to it’s Great masses of Flamingos. Arrrival is in the early evening and proceed for game drive. Dinner and overnight at campsite.

Day 5; MASAI MARA
Morning game drive, Watch and photograph Birds and Animals , breakfast and depart for Masai Mara, Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at campsite.

Day 6: MASAI MARA 
Full day in Masai Mara. Morning and afternoon game drive. Meals and overnight at campsite.
Day 7: MASAI MARA 
Full day in Masai Mara. Morning and afternoon game drive. Meals and overnight at campsite.
Day 8: NAIROBI
Pre-breakfast game drive. Return to campsite for breakfast. After breakfast break up the camp and depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.

Day 1 : Nairobi - Tsavo West
Depart Nairobi at 0700 hrs and proceed to West National Park. Visit the Chyulu Hills and the Mzima Springs, which are favorite haunts of both the hippo and crocodile that can be seen from an underwater observation chamber. Dinner and overnight at the Chyulu gate campsite

Day 2: Tsavo West National park

Full Day spent exploring the park. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Dinner and overnight stay at Chyulu gate campsite
This park was famed for its large herds of elephant covered in red dust and fine scenery. We visit the scenic Lugards Falls, Mudanda Rocks (attracts elephants in the drier sARKon) and Aruba Dam

Day 3: Tsavo West - Amboseli National Park
Morning game drives then proceed to Amboseli National park we view game as we proceed towards the campsite for dinner and overnight. Amboseli Park (at 392 sq km) is the second most popular park in Kenya after Masai Mara, mainly due to the spectacular backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro on the southern boundary

Day 4 : Amboseli National park
Today you will spend the full day in Amboseli with early morning and evening game drives. Whilst in the park, you will have the opportunity to photograph the animals against the wonderful backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. All meals and overnight at a campsite

Amboseli means ‘the place of water’ in Maasai language. The park has an endless supply of water which is filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro. Animal species seen include elephant, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala and leopard. The birdlife seen here includes pelican, bee eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle and pygmy falcon

Day 5: Amboseli – Mt.Kenya ( Sweetwaters)
Early morning departure and proceed to slopes of Africa's second largest mountain at 5199m - Mt Kenya. Afternoon game drives at Sweetwater's game ranch to see the wildlife including rehabilitated chimpanzees. We spend the night at Mountain Rock Campsite.

The private ranch at Sweetwater's is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area.

Day 6 : Mt. Kenya Samburu Game reserve
Depart for Samburu soon after breakfast game is viewed as we proceed to the campsite for lunch. We camp in the narrow stretch of palms and woodland by the Ewaso Nyiro River which provides water for the animals and some relief from the equatorial sun.

Day 7 : Samburu Game reserve
Full day spent exploring the park – morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Dinner and overnight at a campsite.
The highlights of Samburu game reserve is the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, grevy’s zebra and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro river. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries

Day 8 : Samburu – Lake Nakuru National park.
We break the camp soon after break fast and proceed to Lake Nakuru National park. Game is viewed as we exit the park. Lunch enroute followed by an afternoon game drives as the pick lake. Dinner and overnight at Genevieve hotel

Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake on the edges of Nakuru town and lies a distance of 160 kilometers from Nairobi. The lake is world famous as home to millions of flamingoes. The number of flamingoes depends on the water level which determines the quantity of algae on which the birds feed. Flamingoes are known to migrate to other Rift Valley lakes whenever the water level is low. The National Park surrounds the lake and was gazetted to protect the colony of flamingoes as well as provide sanctuary for endangered species such as the rhino. There are about 25 white and black rhinos, one of the largest concentrations in the country. Predators are also residents to this park while Rothschild’s giraffe have been trans-located into the park for safety

Day 9 : Lake Nakuru- Maasai Mara
We break the camp soon after breakfast and travel south through the beautiful savannahs and plains of the Rift Valley and reach our base camp site, where we enjoy another evening out bush under the far-reaching African sky. Game is viewed as we proceed to our campsite for Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sidai campsite

Day 10/11 : Maasai Mara national park
Spend the next two days on game drives exploring the Masai Mara. The open grasslands are home to incredibly rich and varied wildlife and the awesome, annual migration of millions of wildebeest and antelope is the highlight of any visit to Africa from July to October. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sidai campsite

The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara. A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to August. The reserve abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species have been recorded. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park

Day 12 : Mara - Nairobi
Morning game drives then proceed to Nairobi to arrive by 1600 hrs where the safari ends.

Day 1: Samburu
After breakfast depart Nairobi at 7.30Am drive to Samburu National Reserve cross Equator, travel through changing landscapes to the rugged-semi region, though harsh but having unique species like the unusual reticulated giraffe, grevy's Zebra, Beisa, oryx, gerenuk. These species are rarely found elsewhere. The bird life is especially notable. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Camspite

Day 2: Samburu

Day 3: Lake Nakuru
Depart Samburu after breakfast and proceed south to lake Nakuru, which is often referred to as the pink lake for it's great masses of pink flamingos. Arrive in time for lunch. Can also see water buck, leopards impala, Buffalo and is currently a rhino sanctuary. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Camspite.

Day 4: Maasai Mara
Leave Nakuru after breakfast and head for Maasai Mara National Reserve which is famous for it's great herds of wild game. All animals found in Kenya among the "big five" are found here. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight at Mara Campsite

Day 5: Maasai Mara
Full day with morning and afternoon game drive. Leisure at lodge or visit the Maasai villages- at a small fee paid separately. Meals and overnight at Mara Sopa lodge or Mara Campsite

Day 6: Amboseli
Depart Mara after breakfast and proceed to Amboseli via Nairobi for lunch. Arrive to the park at the foot of the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Amboseli Campsite

Day 7: Amboseli
Full day with two game drive. Meals and overnight at Amboseli Campsite

Day 8: Nairobi
Depart for Nairobi after breakfast, arriving late afternoon.
